Where did Amanda Jo Charms go? 
After 11 exciting years, Amanda Jo expanded and divided into three separate online boutiques:
Amanda Jo (this website) our online shop, where you'll find our handcrafted jewellery.
Silver Star Charms home to our range of antique, vintage and artisan made charms by carefully selected makers.
Charmarama A diverse online charm shop selling high quality sterling silver and gold charms.

What is sterling silver?
Sterling silver is produced by combining 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metal, usually copper. Fine silver (99.9% pure) is generally too soft for producing jewellery. Sterling silver is usually alloyed with copper to give it strength whilst preserving the ductility of the silver and a high precious metal content.

What is gold filled?
Gold-filled jewellery is composed of a solid layer of gold, which must be at least 5% of the item's total weight, mechanically bonded to sterling silver or a base metal surface. This thicker layer makes gold-filled jewellery more valuable than gold plated jewellery.

Where are orders dispatched from? 
All orders are sent out from our studio in beautiful Marlborough, Wiltshire in the UK.

Do you accept orders by post? 
If you would like to send your order by mail, please email us to request an order form, which we will email you by reply. Please print out the completed form and send it to Amanda Jo, PO Box 4109, Marlborough SN8 9EL, United Kingdom with your payment.

Do you accept telephone orders? 
Regrettably, we are currently not able to accept telephone orders.

Which methods of payment can I use? 
Credit card: we accept Visa, MasterCard and AMEX for both local and international orders. Payment by this method is quick and convenient and our online payment system uses state of the art encryption technology to safeguard your credit card details.
Paypal: another quick and easy method of payment. For those new to this method of payment we recommend visiting Paypal's website for more information.

What are your payment terms? 
All orders are to be prepaid; in the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil your order, or part of your order, we will contact you immediately.
 
What if an item is unavailable? 
We do our utmost to ensure that the inventory of our website is well stocked, but may occasionally be unable to fulfil an order for multiple items. Should this occur, dispatch will take place as soon as all items are in stock (usually within two weeks). If you have an urgent requirement for a large quantity of a particular item, please EMAIL us to check availability before placing your order.
 
Do you issue a receipt? 
When you have submitted your payment, the order summary will be displayed on a confirmation screen, which can be printed for reference. A confirmation email containing all the details of your order will also be sent to you. A printed packing slip, with no price information, will be included with your goods unless you request otherwise.
 
Do you offer a gift service? 
We offer a gift service at checkout; item/s will be packaged in a beautiful presentation box with ribbon and an optional gift card. If you'd would like to include a personal message to the recipient, this can be entered in the notes at checkout.
 
Do you have a physical retail outlet? 
We are an online only business and do not currently have a bricks and mortar store. 
 
Are purchases covered by a warranty? 
We offer a 14 day money back warranty for any item that you are not completely happy with. More details about returns are contained in our Returns & Exchanges page.
 
Do you offer a wholesale discount? 
One of our key objectives is to offer value for money to our customers and, regrettably, our narrow profit margin does not allow for wholesale discounts in most cases. However, please feel free to email us and will do our best to help.

What is Silver Star Charms' credit card policy? 
Credit card details entered on check-out are protected by 128-bit SSL encryption technology and are transmitted securely for payment processing. We never store credit card details and they are inaccessible once the transaction has been processed.

Do you offer a catalogue that can be posted? 
Owing to our constantly changing inventory and a commitment to the environment, we do not produce a printed catalogue.
 
What is the cost of postage? 
Please see Shipping Information under 'Shopping Online' at the base of the website for details of postage options and rates.
 
Do you offer shipping to destinations outside the United Kingdom? 
We welcome international orders. Note: we regret that we cannot take responsibility for any import duties or taxes levied after a consignment leaves the UK.

Is same day shipping available? 
If your order is urgent and it is placed and paid for before 9.30am, same day dispatch is offered. Please request this in the notes section at checkout.
 
Where are orders dispatched from? 
All orders are sent out from our studio in beautiful Marlborough, Wiltshire in the UK.

Will my item be well packaged? 
All orders are presented beautifully in an elegant pouch or gift box and are thoughtfully packed to safeguard against damage in transit.
 
May orders be picked up in person? 
As Amanda Jo Jewellery is an online only boutique, with no shop front, we regret that it is not possible for orders to be collected.

What is your returns policy? 
If, for whatever reason, you/the recipient are not completely happy with an item purchased from Amanda Jo Jewellery, it may be returned, subject to following conditions:
*Please email us and we will send, by return email, a returns form to accompany the item to be sent back.
*Item must be returned within two weeks after purchase.
*Item must be in original condition, undamaged and unworn.
*It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that item/s are suitably packaged to safeguard against damage in transit; items that are not in a saleable condition on return will not be eligible for refund.
*Cost of shipping of a returned item will be the customer's responsibility and must be by a registered service with proof of shipping retained.
*Original shipping costs are not reimbursable.
*Above not applicable to a faulty item; in the unlikely event that you have received a damaged or defective item, Amanda Jo Jewellery will replace or refund the item, and provide reimbursement for all shipping costs.
PLEASE DO NOT return items without prior contact via email – return or exchange items received without prior contact will not be processed.

Can jewellery be exchanged? 
With the exception of earrings, if you would like to exchange an item you ordered for something else on the website, please email us to request a PDF exchange form which we’ll email by reply. Please then send us:
• The completed form
• The charm/item you’d like to exchange;
• Packaging for us to send you the replacement in – this must be postage paid, trackable and include the address you’d like the replacement delivered to.
